During the weekend, my brother went to the local show/fair and managed to find a Phantom showbag for me. The cost of the bag was $7 and it contained 10 Frew Phantom comics (two of which were $3 specials). The copyright date on this bag is 1997. To see an image of the bag, click HERE.
The Phantom has again appeared in the Mandrake comic strip, this time on a child's shirt. Check out the two frames below:

Ed Rhoades just interviewed Tony DePaul for the upcoming Friends of the Phantom newsletter. Tony has the distinction of having written the first syndicated Phantom story since Lee Falk's passing.
It seems as if Mercury Center may be having some problems - the daily for September 5th, 1999 was actually that of September 5th, 1998.
