August 25th, 1999

  • Peter Johnson has been added to the Phantom Phans.
  • Warren Shardlow has informed us that a Phantom diary for the year 2000 has been produced and is now available.   I will add more information and an image of the diary as soon as I am able to find a copy.
  • Part 10 of the chain Phantom story, 'Nazi Gold' (written by Bryan Shedden), has now been sent out to Mr. Walker's Mailing List and uploaded to Stephen Baggs' site:

  • Finally, the Frew Publications sction has been completed.
  • Tom Tyler biography added.
  • The Sunday Chronology, George Wilson and Glenn Ford biographies have been updated.
  • Egmont have recently distributed two Phantom rings with their Fantomen (Sweden) and Fantomet (Norway) comics.

August 15th, 1999

  • Ed Rhoades has sent us an interesting article from 1951.  It was written by Phantom artist Wilson McCoy about his tour of a series of U.S. Army Air Force bases.  Unfortunately, the bottom of the article did not turn out.
  • Gary Hughes has created a 1/6 scale resin model of Tom Tyler as the Phantom.  He painted the costume in 'ghostly grey' to give the piece a more "black and white feel".

  • Aman King has sent me an article which was printed in 'The Telegraph' (India) on March 21st, 1999.

  • Keith Williams recently made an appearance at a comics expo located in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, USA.  Ed Rhoades has sent us an article coveering Keith's visit which appeared in the local Press Enterprise newspaper.
